Rest is something we have to learn. It doesn’t always come naturally, and for many of us, it feels out of reach. Life is full of pressures—expectations, work, and struggles we never asked for. But God invites us to rest, not just physically, but in who we are, where we are, and in what He says about us.
We don’t always like who we are. We see our weaknesses, our limits, and the things we wish were different. But God created us with a purpose. Instead of fighting against who He made us to be, we can rest in His design, knowing He sees us as His masterpiece.
We don’t always like where we are. It’s easy to believe we’d be happier somewhere else—doing something different, having a different life. But God places us where we are for a reason. Instead of always looking for the next thing, we can rest in His plan, knowing He is at work even when we don’t see it.
Most importantly, we can rest in what God says about us. We are not defined by what we do or how well we perform. We are His beloved children. He loves us more than we can understand, and He promises to provide for us. Instead of trying to control everything, we can trust Him.
Learning to rest means letting go of the pressure to prove ourselves. It means trusting that God is in control and that His love for us is enough. Life is not about striving—it’s about resting in the One who holds everything in His hands.
