In this sermon, we look at the importance of having good character, especially for leaders in our church called elders. We shouldn’t just focus on what tasks they can do, but on the kind of person they are. The example of a shepherd herding his sheep shows how leaders should guide and care for their people gently, not force them.
We need younger men to become elders, so the church’s teachings continue through generations. It’s crucial that older members teach the younger ones. We are all members and we should all strive to have good character. We should all try to be kind, honest, and caring, just like we expect our elders to be.
