We believe that being an elder in the church is a special job that God gives to certain people. We know that God gives these elders special gifts to help them do their job well. They are like helpers and leaders for everyone in the church.
We also believe that elders should act like servants, helping and guiding others. They shouldn’t try to be more important than anyone else. Instead, they should always remember to teach and follow what the Bible says, just like Jesus did.
Elders should care for everyone in the church, just like shepherds care for their sheep. They should protect them from wrong teachings and always show them the right way, just like Jesus showed us.
