Jesus feeds 5,000 people, and the crowd is amazed. They follow Him, hoping for more food and miracles. But when they find Him, Jesus challenges them. “You’re looking for me because you ate the bread, not because you understand who I am.” He tells them not to chase after food that perishes but to seek the bread that gives eternal life.
They ask, “What must we do?” Jesus answers, “Believe in the one God has sent.” But they struggle to accept it. They want signs, proof—something they can see. Jesus tells them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.” He isn’t just talking about food. He is offering Himself, real life that never fades.
The people argue. They can’t understand how Jesus could be the bread from heaven. But He keeps speaking the truth. “Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no life in you.” Many walk away, confused and unwilling to believe.
Life is full of things that won’t last—work, money, daily struggles. But Jesus offers something greater. Believing in Him means never being empty, never thirsting for something more. He gives life that goes beyond this world. The choice is clear: chase what fades, or come to the one who gives life forever.
